One Last Thing

I want to share with you something that has been bothering me for some time:

Michael Magidson stated that he put a gag in Gwen/Lida's mouth to keep her "from mouthing off, to shut her the fuck up." He then said he bound her wrists to keep her from pulling the gag out of her mouth, from making more noise.
He also bound her ankles.
  • But--why did he bind her wrists in the front, but not from in back? In front, it would be easy to pull a gag out (if she regained consciousness, as he claimed was his concern.)
  • If Magidson didn't intend to kidnap Gwen (i.e. transporting her against her will from place to place), why did he bind her feet?
Cos she wasn't going anywhere alive, and he knew it.

Jaron Nabors, Jason Cazares, Jose Merel, and Michael Magidson killed Gwen Araujo.
One of these people--Jaron Nabors--has taken responsibility for this crime. One of these persons-Jose Merel--has admittted remorse.

The responses to the blog have been amazing--thank you everyone.
I would encourage all to re-read this blog-- and respond again.
Love to all--especially Delilah, Imelda, David, John, Tina, Erin O, David, Sylvia G. ,Shelly, Karen, Chris L, and Kathy B.--and everyone at CUAV & TGLC.
It's almost over. Hang on.

Love,
Connie

I watched the Lifetime movie about Gwen's story. I feel sad and somewhat guilty for what she went through as a teen. When I was in high school, it was "cool" to poke fun and make kids who were "different" lives a living hell...it boosted your popularity and made people fear you....Once out of high school i worked in a large department store in cosmetics and befriended a trans-gender male. Needless to say "she" and I became very close... She told me everything about her world and all the thing shes had to go through to live her life the way she wanted to. I attended counseling sessions and doctors appt.s with her. She was goin to make the change from male to female... places we would go, we would get stared at and we would get smirks and whispers... i went through it with her. it takes a strong courageous human being to withstand that kind of hate and chastise... i applaude gwen for everything she did to achieve her person, and one day God will judge those pricks and their day IS goin to come. Since befriending a transgender person, i have her to applaude for broadening my perspectives and making me become the person i am today. God Bless you and your efforts...god bless gwen and her loving family.

i just watched the lifetime show about gwen and i was touched by the courage that gwen had at such a young age. She did not hide about who she was and did not attempt to be some thing that she was not. it is a shame that she had to die just cause some dumb asses could not accept her or did not un derstand that just because she did not have a vagina she was not a girl GWEN WAS ALL WOMAN AND A PENIS DID NOT MAKE HER A MAN.

I watched the Lifetime movie of Gwen Araujo. I was touched by this movie.I am very glad they made a movie about this. Just because someone wants to be a different gender doesn't make them a bad person inside. People say don't judge a book by it's cover but people I mean society does this everyday. They judge a human being before they even get to know them. In the case, of Gwen she was girl inside and out but because of her gender she wasn't. I am deeply sad that she had to grow through what she went through at a young age. To me all she wanted was to be love and be herself. All she wanted was for people to love her for who she was not what she is.It takes a lot of courage to do what she did. She didn't care what people thought of her. She just wanted to be her. To me I think she died of honor for all the other transgenders. Because she didn't hide who she was. She was just being who she had to be. And someday people will understand that we can't keep killing each other over stupid and ignorant things. Because of the people who did what they did to Gwen it is people like them that make this world like it is today. I pray that Gwen's family find justice and may God bless the family. Don't worry about it. It's all in God's hands. They will be judged. Just like they judged Gwen Araujo.

I watched the Lifetime movie of Gwen Araujo's life not once, but twice. I applaud Gwen's courage to be who she was born to be. It is not what it between your legs that makes you a man or a woman it is what is inside your soul. She was a beautiful young woman who did not deserve this to happen to her. Mercedes and Jd's portrails were outstanding. They should be proud of themselves for their preformances. My heart goes out to Gwen's family and love to Gwen's mother Sylvia for having the courage to tell her DAUGHTER'S story. I know the feeling of losing a child to the hands of another. The sentences the boys recieved was not nearly enough for the life they took away, to allow them to plea bargan was appaling! They should had recieved the death sentence as far as I and my family are concerned. This was a horrible vicious hate crime, I don't care what anyone says it was a hate crime. How dare thier attorney suggest that society be to blame for thier actions! I screamed at the TV when I heard that. I fully agree with Sylvia I blame them too! I was even more horrified to discover that this horrible crime happened just miles from the home where I grew up in Union City. No person should ever have to have this happen to them, no person, especially a child, Gwen was still just a child with a bright future ahead of her, to have her life taken away by some morons and for them to basically get a slap on the wrist make me furious beyond belief! I cry in anger for the senselessness of this crime, I cry in sorrow for the family, I cry in hurt for such a beautiful life to have been taken away needlessly and I cry for the pain and suffering she had to endure at the hands of a few ignorant boys. The world needs to be educated, trans-gendered and gay people, that they pose no threat to anyone, that it is not a disease that you can catch. I pray that Gwen's family find comfort in knowing there are others who support them though they do not know them. Gwen was born an ANGEL, sent here to teach us to be accecpting of everyone and to teach us to love unconditionally. As Gwen would say "I love you too much" something we all can learn from. I am proud that my children grew up to be accecpting of everyone, regardless of color, creed, race religion or sexual prefference. Rest in Peace Baby Girl, you now have your wings soar high and know you are loved.
God Bless
Anna Marie

EDWARD Araujo (NOT Gwen) did not die because of being transgender...HE died because HE raped those young men by tricking them into thinking HE was a girl and having sex with them. If HE had not raped them they probably could have cared less that HE wanted to be a girl. People show so much sympathy for HIM, but if you look at the law, what he did to those young men was RAPE! How much sympathy would people have for a man who rapes a woman if his victim killed him? Get real and quit treating EDWARD like a helpless victim....HE was a rapist!

I wrote the last entry in this blog, and after reading it back it appears that I am hating on transgenders....but I didn't mean it to seem that way....I have no problem with gays, lesbians, or transgenders...be who you wanna be...peoples sexuality is their own business and I really don't even know why people complain about people being gay...WHO CARES...even if you don't agree with someones sexuality, how does it affect you and why would you be compelled to complain about it...right? BUT...what I do have a problem with is a transgender man who goes out tricking straight men into thinking he's a woman so he can have sex with them...that is just WRONG, and under definitioin of the law it is RAPE! So what I said in the last entry is still true...how many people would show smypathy for a straight man who rapes a woman and is then killed by his victim? Probably not many! What they did was wrong, Edward (or Gwenn...whatever) did not deserve to die...but to go on talking like Edward/Gwenn is completely innocent in this matter is wrong too...tricking those young men into thinking he was a girl to get them to have sex with him was a very sick thing to do and the law says it's rape.

The clinical definition of rape is something to be admired. it basically says that rape is any nonconsenual act of a sexual nature. That means that if those boys said "yes" when Gwen asked them it is not rape. I'd also like to point out that even if she did rape them (which i doubt as she more then likely lacked the strength needed to do this crime on a 17 year old MAN)it does not constitute a reason to MURDER her or anyone else. The boys could have very easily contacted the police, teachers, parents, or whoever and let them take care of it. The fact is that this crime (unlike the previous blogger seems to believe) was premeditated and intentional and was not brought on by any feeling of "betrayal" or anything else. All three boys belong in jail not for ten years or even twenty five. They deserve to spend the rest of their lives behind prison walls. Also as a final thought, statistics show that most women who killed their rapist did so in self defense while the other person was trying to rape them.

I have to agree with the previous blogger, this was, in no way, a case of rape. The young men who took part are the ones to blame; the fact that they didn't think to ask her weather she was BIOLOGICALLY male or female before consenting to any kind of sexual act does not excuse them in any way.

I watched that movie EVERT SINGLE TIME is was shown and i even did some reasherch on "HER" i believe what those ingnorant boys did to her it was wrong and unjusticed. Just because some one wants to cahnge their sex dosent make them a "freak". they deserved their punishment they all do. they sinned by killing a so-called "sinner" she was still gods child and now lays on a cloud watching over her family and not having to worry about threats. i think its wrong to judge people by the way they look and and act but by they way their true insides are. Gwen was a beautiful boy ans an even mor beautiful Woman. i tell you every time i watch that movie i want to cry but i think this one movie may change the way people look in manys eyes. why should a person be judge by the book of their cover. it should be the words inside it. in the court room of my heart i find the plantiffs guilty as charged. and gwen floating in the skys of happy heavens she has now earned her wings she deserved!!
may god bless you and your family!

You should not put quotation marks around her and she. She was a woman, not a man, and should be spoken of as if she were any other woman. I recently saw a case where a girl was born with a vagina but she had XY chromosomes and testicles. She got the testicles removed, but it's pretty much identical to transsexuals. We (I saw we because I am one) are born with our brains telling us we are one gender, but our genitalia speaks a different story. We truly are women, but with an incorrect anatomy. And this is far from rape. That one person needs to look up the definition of rape. Those boys agreed. They didn't know, that's on them. Maybe they should have demanded to see her genitals. I hope they get the Holy **** beat out of them in prison! And to that person who said that those two boys cleaned her away from the earth, praise god, etc... Do you know what God sees as right and wrong in his eyes? No. I don't care how many times you read the bible or pray, you'll never know how he see's things (this is if his existence is even real). I started bawling my eyes out after reading the story. She's is now my wallpaper and I'm still torn apart from what has happened to this beautiful young woman. This should have never happened. RIP Gwen Araujo
